POLICE will question two teenagers on their return from a charity aid trip to Romania.
Stephen Baker, 17, and Liam Shone, 16, both from Teesside, are expected to be met by police on their arrival at London's Victoria Coach Station on Saturday, following a three-day overland journey back to Britain.
There is an outstanding warrant for the arrest of Stephen, from Ormesby, near Middlesbrough.
Both teenagers are already the subject of criminal anti-social behaviour orders (Crasbos).
A police spokeswoman said: "Neither person has any restrictions on their movements, so are at will to travel wherever they wish.
"We will, however, be looking to speak to them on their return to the UK in connection with ongoing inquiries into other matters.
"Once these young people are back in the Cleveland area, we will, of course, be monitoring their behaviour with regard to the conditions imposed by their Asbos."
Romanian police are expecting Mr Baker to return to Romania at a future date, following an allegation of assault.
He has also been under investigation in Romania for drink-driving.
He says he is prepared to return to Romania to face any charges.
The Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Any offences which took place in Romania will have been dealt with by the relevant authorities in that country and, unless requested otherwise by Romanian authorities, are outside the remit of Cleveland Police.'"
Stephen's grandmother, Brenda, told The Northern Echo: "We will be asking a lot of questions when we get them home and we will need a lot of answers.
"This has been an experience we do not want to go through again.''
Stephen is only being allowed home by Romanian police on condition that he is arrested on his arrival in Britain.
Magistrates at Middlesbrough relaxed bail conditions, including an electronic tag, to allow the teenager to accompany Teesside charity workers to Romania last December.
