THE Royal Navy will have to find a twin cabin on board one of their ships to accommodate two of its latest recruits.
Twins John and Anthony Yorke have completed the first phase of their Royal Navy training at HMS Raleigh, in Cornwall.
The duo, from Chilton, joined the Royal Navy in March for eight weeks initial training.
During the course, the 20-year-olds have faced challenges to equip them for their new careers.
Among family and friends who travelled to Cornwall to watch the twins at their passing out parade was their uncle, Petty Officer John Yorke.
He inspired the twins to join the Royal Navy.
Training highlights have included battling to save a sinking ship in Raleigh's purpose-built simulator and physical exercises, the twins said.
They added they maintained good-natured brotherly rivalry throughout, with John edging in front on the rifle range and physical training - but Anthony's class won the team events.
John said: "The most important things I will take away are self-discipline and teamwork."
Anthony added: "It's been the best thing I've ever done. It's unbelievable that we have reached this point already."
The twins will soon embark on the second stage of training at HMS Sultan, in Hampshire, to qualify as air engineering technicians.
