CRAIG Willis and Paul Pearson will present another exciting evening of World Championship Kickboxing at Cockerton Club in Darlington on Saturday June 2.

Their last show in November was a major sell-out success, and also a massive success for local sportsmen and women.

Making defences of their titles are local boxers from Darlington, Garry Rickinson AKA World Lightweight Champion from Darlington and Mandy Stainthorp AKA English Featherweight champion.

From Bishop Auckland AKA Heavyweight Champion Gerard Van Dyke and AKA European Lightweight Champ Robbie Newton will be facing stiff competition. Headlineing the show Sam Bainbride will be challenging Lee Green for the World Welterweight Championship, also defending his Commonwealth Title - making this an exciting duel defence.

In the build up to the show Team Hanuman of Darlington are taking part in a sponsored kick event in order to raise money for "Kick4Cancer". The Kick-boxing community have formed a charitable organisation in order to help raise funds towards cancer research. To date many forms of fundraising have taken place, including the donation of fight purses, collections, raffles and auctions of boxing and kickboxing equipment signed and donated by famous sportspeople including Ricky Hatton. Hanuman Thai Boxing Club, Darlington have organised a sponosored kick-a-thon in order to help raise awareness. All proceeds raised will be presented to a K4C representative at our promotion.

Due to the popularity of the last event the show will be split into two halves - with 30-40 bouts scheduled to take place over the day, from 2pm in the afternoon the novice bouts will take place, and then from 7pm in the evening the main events will follow on.

One ticket allows entry to both events and are available from Craig Willis 07970 741129.
