York's Kevin Gilligan drawn on Cyprio's 12 alternated between pellet and corn on the pole at 10 metres into the open water and was rewarded with 23 carp and 2 tench for 105.8.0.
Runner-up Graham Broadley of Bob Co was on near by Cyprio 9 and also elected to fish into open water with meat on the pole at 11 metres and put together a nice mixed bag of 81.10.0, comprising of 14 carp 3 bream and a tench from Martin Dodsworth with 71.4.0.
Sessay's Oaks Fishery attracted 68 competitors for Sundays open on Cedar Lake won by Garbolino Elton's Mal Bailey. Fishing both long and short on the pole from peg 14 carp to 4.0.0 found meat irresistible as he registered 79.14.0. Four times World Champion Alan Scotthorne was just one fish behind with 77.10.0, catching on maggot up in the water from peg 31.

Trout news THE changeable weather last week certainly effected catches at Leighton Reservoir and with conditions different each day it was a matter of finding the level where the trout wanted to feed.
Lures and buzzers proved most successful and at times even dry flies. 180 anglers total 609 trout with 71 limit bags.
