THE Wembley dream is now a reality for a Durham five-a-side footbal team after they won the regional final to reach the inaugural national final of The FA Umbro Fives, the country's biggest 5-a-side tournament.

The Durham, How Do You Eat Yours, team will later this year have a once in a lifetime opportunity to live their dream of playing at Wembley as they walk out onto the hallowed turf.

They will be competing for the FA Umbro Fives Women's Trophy at the new Wembley Stadium on July 15.

The ladies from Durham won their place at Wembley after a hard-fought regional final win against Peterlee Ladies, one of their biggest rivals.

As if a place at Wembley wasn't enough, Peterlee Ladies were the team who beat 'How Do You Eat Yours' in the local heat final of the tournament, so revenge for earlier disappointment will sweeten the trip to Wembley even further.

Team captain Sarah Price, said: "We can't believe we'll be out on the turf at Wembley playing for the trophy in July, it's a dream come true.

"The team is made up of Sunderland and Newcastle fans, so we don't get to go to Wembley very often!"

Sarah, 21, from Newcastle added: "It'll be a great honour for us to play at the Stadium before the England Ladies team does, and we'll try our best to match our solid performance in the regional final and go on and win the trophy."

England captain and official ambassador for the inaugural FA Umbro, John Terry, commented: "What an achievement for 'How Do You Eat Yours'.

"I played at Wembley for the first time in The FA Cup Final, an experience that will be one of the proudest moments of my career.

"The FA Umbro Fives is the only tournament that provides amateur players to chance to play on the famous turf of the new Wembley Stadium. I wish them all the best in the final."

The competition is the country's biggest five-a-side tournament with over 5,000 men's and women's teams competing in regional heats across the country
