Barnard Castle School hopes to hit the high notes as it showcases a night of big band jazz.
Award-winning 20-piece big band Musicians Unlimited performs tonight, at 7.30pm.
The band, formed by Barnard Castle School bandmaster Mick Donnelly, will play a selection of music from classic big band swing to Sinatra, Count Basie, and Glen Miller, featuring vocals and supported by the Barnard Castle School Jazz Ensemble.
"It will be the first time the big band has played at the school for 11 years," said Mr Donnelly, 46, who has toured with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr, Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, Barry White, Whitney Houston, Madness, Cool and the Gang, The Four Tops and The Temptations.
"There will be a great variety of music - something for everyone."
Tickets are £10 (£8 concession) including food. To book, call 01833-690222. Funds raised from the night will go towards the school music tour of Cyprus, in July.
