CHILDREN are invited to try their hand at crafts next week, at local beading centre's holiday workshops.
Constellation Beads, at Barningham, near Barnard Castle, is running the workshops next Wednesday and Thursday.
Children and their parents can make a range of items from colourful safety pin bracelets and nightlights to delicate beaded daisy chains.
Stella Wardale, jewellery designer and course leader, said: "This is a great opportunity for parents and their children to spend some creative time together in a relaxed and friendly environment."
The cost per workshop is £7.50 for a parent and child, and £2.50 for each additional child.
Beads and kits for the project can be bought on the day for £1.25 or taken to the workshop.
The fee includes tuition, use of tools in the workshop, and tea, coffee or juice.
The workshops are most suitable for children over the age of seven and there is no upper age limit.
There will be two workshops each day, from 10am to 11.30am and 2pm to 3.30pm.
