VISITORS to events in Wensleydale over the Bank Holiday weekend can help to reduce road congestion by taking the train.
A farmers' market in Leyburn tomorrow, the annual Finghall barrel push on Monday, at 1.30pm, and a cream tea in Redmire Village Hall on the same afternoon can all be reached by using selected services run by Wensleydale Railway between Leeming Bar and Redmire.

The railway is also holding a hog roast, at Leyburn, on Wednesday, with a connecting train. Booking is essential on 08454-505474.
On Thursday, there will be a guided walk using the train, as part of the Swaledale Festival. Details are available from the festival office, on 01748-880018.
The annual Day Out With Thomas the Tank Engine event is on June 9 and 10, at Leeming Bar.
