A DEVELOPER has withdrawn an appeal against councillors' rejection of plans for a sheltered housing complex.
McCarthy and Stone Developments wanted to build 57 sheltered apartments, manager's accommodation and car parking on the site of CD Bramall Motors, in Malpas Road, Northallerton.
Last August, the plans were rejected by members of Hambleton District Council, who said there were major design flaws.
The company appealed against the refusal and an inquiry into the appeal was scheduled to be held on June 26. However, the appeal has now been withdrawn and the hearing cancelled.
