STUDENTS from Cleveland College of Art and Design have showed off period costumes they have made as part of their BA (Hons) course in entertainment design crafts.
Each student produced a costume from their favourite period in history, inspired by artists such as Tissot and Renoir.
They used natural fabrics and traditional techniques.
Gayle Playford, costume lecturer, based at the Church Square campus, in Hartlepool, said: "The costumes are all just gorgeous - the best we have ever done.
"The students are poised for success, because previous students are working both nationally and internationally in the varied career routes costumiers can achieve."
The campus is launching a two-year foundation degree in costume construction for stage and screen - the only one in the North of England.
