HUNDREDS of football fans and players will turn out for a charity tournament in memory of cancer victim.
They will gather for an annual contest in memory of Mary Hayton, at Langley Park Welfare Ground on Saturday. Since Mrs Hayton, 42, from Sacriston, died in 2003, thousands of pounds have been raised for Cancer Research UK.
The tournament begins at 10.30am, with Langley Park WMC and Sacriston WMC contesting the Mary Hayton Charity Shield in a match kicking off at 1.30pm.
