NORTH-EAST beauty queen Anjlee Desai failed to inherit the Miss Great Britain 2007 crown from her sister this week.
But the 22-year-old singer says she is looking to the future and has already been in the studio recording tracks with her band, Soul Deep.
Miss Desai will not be following in her sister's footsteps after losing out at the ceremony on Monday night to Rachael Tennent, from Aberdeen.
The former Nunthorpe School pupil, whose sister, Preeti, was named Miss Great Britain 2006 after the original winner, Danielle Lloyd, was stripped of her title, failed to make it into the final 12 in the competition.
Fifty contestants competed in the final, which was held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, in London.
Just like her sister, Anjlee, from Guisborough, east Cleveland, secured her place in the competition after she was crowned Miss Cleveland.
She said: "I'm not disappointed because I feel like it was good enough for me to be crowned Miss Cleveland and represent my region - for me that was an achievement.
"It was something I have never done before - I'm used to singing and dancing - but I enjoyed it very much."
