THREE teenagers have been remanded in custody by magistrates after being charged with the murder of a young father.
Kevin Johnson was stabbed to death at his front gate after confronting a group of youths in the street.
Mr Johnson, 22, the father of a seven-month-old baby, was attacked outside his home in Partick Road, Pennywell,Sunderland.
All three teenagers were charged with murder when they appeared before Sunderland Magistrates Court today.
The case was adjourned until June 5 when they will appear at Newcastle Crown Court.
Dean Curtis, 18, of Forest Road, Ford Estate, and two other youths, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were remanded in custody.
