A TEAM of rowers is helping to promote their home with its new kit.

Durham Amateur Rowing Club has taken delivery of T-shirts bearing the slogan "Passionate about rowing", to boost the Passionate People Passionate Places campaign.

Members of the club wore the T-shirts for the first time at the Durham City Regatta, last weekend.

Captain Phil Tully said: "I have been extremely impressed with the work of the regional image campaign. As a club, we want to get involved in shouting about the region.

"Supporting the Passionate People Passionate Places campaign means we are helping to promote the club and region at the same time."

Stacy Hall, from One NorthEast, which runs the campaign, said: " The club is a perfect example of the talented, dedicated people we have here in the North-East - people who are not only passionate about their sport, but also about the region.
