JEMMA Lowe has rounded off her domestic season in style by smashing the British short-course record in the 200m butterfly.
Hartlepool-born Lowe flew to the United States earlier this week to take part in a Welsh training camp as part of the country's preparations for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
But before jetting Stateside, the 17-year-old, who qualifies to swim for Wales through her father, Mike, left her domestic rivals trailing in her wake at Middlesbrough's Neptune Centre.
Lowe claimed victory in the 100m butterfly, 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley, breaking a host of records along the way.
The English Martyrs pupil shattered the British record in the 200m butterfly, set a Welsh record in the 100m medley and bettered her personal best in the 100m butterfly.
Already ranked in the world's top 14, Lowe will compete in a number of events in Michigan as she continues her rise up the senior rankings.
