POLICE are hunting a man who stole money from an elderly woman during a walk-in burglary.
The incident took place on Saturday, May 12, at 8.20pm, when the victim was in her living room, in Grove Hill, Middlesbrough, watching television.
A man walked in through the front door, into the living room, and talked to the woman about two videos he was carrying.
He then picked up her purse from a nearby table, at which point the woman told him to put her purse down and leave.
After a couple of seconds, he put the purse down and left the house.
But when the woman checked her purse, she discovered £100 in cash was missing.
The man is described as white, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in, aged between 17 and 20, with dark hair.
He spoke with a local accent and was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, a dark T-shirt, a white tracksuit top and white trainers.
The man was last seen walking across The Vale, in Grove Hill, across Maple Avenue and towards Meadowfield Avenue.
