A MARATHON music concert is to breathe new life into a once-struggling football club.
X Factor heart-throbs Journey South are among the line-up taking to the stage during the nine-hour event.
Party on the Pitch, which takes place next Saturday, will be headlined by Queen, Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams tribute bands, supported by local talent including the Beer Pigs, Fallen, Rhythm Method and Sugarstone.
BBC Fame Academy's Alistair Griffin and Journey South will give guest performances.
The event is to raise much-needed funds for Guisborough Town Football Club and its community sports plans. The club faced closure 18 months ago.
But following a takeover by new owners, it is emerging as a successful club and has three senior sides and six youth sides.
The concert starts at 1pm at the club, in Howlbeck Road, Guisborough. Advance tickets, priced £10 for children under 14 and £20 for adults, are available on 01287-633801/622422 or 01642-471921.

Sandy Mackenzie, chairman of Guisborough Town FC, said: "So many people have worked so hard to make both Guisborough Town and this event a major success. We couldn't do it without the support of local businesses."
