A FILM about the history of a recreation ground that is almost 100 years old will be unveiled.
The Bishop Auckland Town Recreation Ground is believed to have been built in 1912 and there are plans afoot to improve the facility.
The film is part of a consultation event by Groundwork West Durham and Darlington.
It will feature memories of local people that have been gathered by Etherley Lane Primary School pupils.
It will be shown at the school at 6.30pm, on Tuesday.
On show will also be displays produced by year five children illustrating how the recreation ground could be developed.
There will be the chance for people to put their own ideas forward.
Joanne Morley, project officer for Groundwork, said: "We hope that a lot of people will come along to the event as we would like to get as much feedback as we can on the potential for the recreation ground.
"Any response will help form a feasibility study we are preparing which will make recommendations for the future of the recreation ground.
"So it is very important we get the views of local people."
