He will give a free talk at 2pm. Places should be booked by calling the library, on 0191-386-4003.
Stephen and Alison Morrell will run a cheese fest, between 11am and 1pm, on Tuesday.
Storytime on Wednesday, at 11am, will have a vegetarian theme.
Rachel Markham, a former cook with the Vegetarian Society cookery school, will demonstrate a meat-free barbecue on Friday, from noon until 2pm. Free samples will be available.
On Sunday there will be stories and crafts with a vegetarian theme, from 2.30pm.
