A NEW local newspaper was launched in Durham City yesterday.
The Durham Times is published by Newsquest (North-East) Ltd, publishers of The Northern Echo and the Durham Advertiser.
The Durham Times is a quality broadsheet newspaper, published on a Friday, reporting the city and surrounding area in detail.
Both the Echo and the Advertiser will continue to be published as normal, the Echo providing its unrivalled daily service of local, regional and national news, the Advertiser providing its free package of local news and advertising.
For the first two weeks, the Durham Times is being distributed on a complimentary basis throughout the city, so that as many residents as possible can sample the Durham Times' blend of news, opinion, sport, features and the best in homes, jobs and cars.
Thereafter, a modest cover price of 30p will apply. To subscribe to the Durham Times, contact your newsagent or call 0800-132401.
