A DRIVER was treated by paramedics for injuries caused by his seatbelt after he was involved in a two-car collision near Darlington
The man, who has not been named, was hurt when his car and another were involved in a head-on crash in Lime Lane, near Brafferton.
Emergency services believe the accident, which happened shortly before 8am yesterday, was caused by wet weather conditions.
One fire engine from Newton Aycliffe was called to the scene, as a precaution because one of the cars was still smoking, firefighters said.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics for chest injuries.
He was later taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
The other driver was not injured.
