VISITORS are being asked to comment on plans to improve access to the North Yorkshire countryside.
The county council is looking to improve the 10,000kms of paths in the county.
Work is ongoing to improve the path network with repairs on signs, gates and stiles near Nidderdale.
But the council is also working with the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks to do more.
It has now published a Rights of Way Improvement plan and they want the public's comments on it.
The report looks at the current and future uses of the paths by both able and disabled visitors.
Copies of the plans are on offer in libraries and district council offices across North Yorkshire.
It is also on show at the two national park offices and the county council website at www.northyorks.gov.uk. Comments on the plans must be submitted by June 30
