PUPILS donned hero costumes and plunged their feet into trays of spaghetti and custard - all in the name of charity.
Staff and children at Horndale County Infant and Nursery School, Newton Aycliffe raised £113 for Children in Need during the day of activities on Friday (November 13).
Kids got the chance to take part in a doughnut eating challenge, stick their feet into 'yucky concoctions' and even splat a teacher with cream pies.
Head teacher Craig Brown said: “The children and staff have had great fun taking part in lots of activities and raising funds.
"By the end of the day they had a really good understanding of how important it is to raise money and more importantly understanding where their money goes to.
"A big well done to everyone who took part, especially our newly elected school council.”
