with half time approaching Norton took a deserved lead following good link up play between Emma Graham and Larissa Burkinshaw who played ball into Rachel Horsley,who held off the defender before slotting the ball past the advancing keeper. At the start of the second half saw Norton come under strong pressure, however Norton defence held firm led superbly by Kerry French. Emma Graham went close on a couple of occasions for Norton,before Larissa Burkinshaw played the ball to Rebecca Mcphillips who made a surging run from the halfway line and took it past the keeper to side foot home from 12 yards out. Norton were comfortably holding out until Pelton were awarded a dubious penalty minutes from time,which was converted as Rachel Chisnall got a hand to it but couldn't stop it going in. Final score 1-2 saw Norton reach the final of the cup in their first season beating the previously unbeaten side Pelton,congratulations to all a tremendous effort
