PARENTS are being urged to take part in a training session to learn more about cyber-bullying.
Stockton Borough Council's anti-bullying service is calling on all parents to book a place for the one-hour session, run by Childnet International.
The course is held at Teesside City Learning Centre, Grangefield School, Stockton, tomorrow, from 4pm.
The sessions will look at the effect internet bullies have on children and young people and how parents can stop it happening, as well as how to report incidents.
Teachers on the course will also give parents a live demonstration of the websites most used by youngsters.
Anna-Michelle Hantler, anti-bullying officer for the borough council, said: "Bullying of any sort is totally unacceptable, whether it is in the school playground or online. This course will help all parents, and especially those with no knowledge of computers, to be aware of tell-tale signs and show them how to report incidents to help put a stop to it."
The course is free, however places are limited, so booking is essential on 01642-527109.
