IT was all smiles at a nursery yesterday when youngsters brushed up on their oral hygiene.
Children at Rosedene Nursery, in Ormesby, near Middlesbrough, celebrated the start of National Smile Month with help from professionals.
The nursery held one of the largest events on Teesside to pass on the theme of the month, which is two minutes, twice a day.
Staff joined forces with the Tees Community Dental Health Promotions team to host activities throughout the day, starting with a teeth-brushing lesson in the morning.
Staff also put together a display for parents to find out more about the three key messages of National Smile Month - brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, cut down on sugary foods and visit the dentist regularly.
