A HIGHLY-ACCLAIMED US choir is to perform a concert later this month.
The Fredonia Chamber Singers, made up of undergraduates from the School of Music at the State University of New York, is to perform at Durham City on Friday, May 25.
The choral grouop will perform at Elvet Methodist Church, in Old Elvet, where they will be joined by guest artist, composer and guitarist James Piorkowski, professor of guitar studies at Fredonia.
During their stay, the choir will be hosted by members of Durham City's three Rotary Clubs.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, cost £6.50, or £5 for concessions, and are available at the door, in advance from Durham's tourist information office or by telephoning 0191-3846964.
