A FRIENDLY greyhound is in need of a home.
Animal sanctuary workers are appealing for a family to take in two-year-old Jake, whose previous owners give him up when they separated.
During the three months he has lived with a foster family, he has become a popular pet but needs a permanent home.
Susan Betts, of Shildon, said: "He settled in quickly, is a beautiful dog with a lovely nature and will make someone a great pet."
Pauline Wilson, of the National Animal Sanctuary Support League (NASSL), said: "He gets on well with other dogs and older children, and he has a lovely endearing personality.
"Greyhounds are one of the nicest and easiest breeds of dog to look after.
For information about Jake, or any other dogs or kittens, call NASSL, on 01325-321855 or 07748-268822.
