Six clubs are fighting for the top honours in the 3D Durham Coast League after the first three weeks of the season with Seaham Park in the driving seat.
Willington, who have played a game less, are now just a point behind and are breathing down the leader's necks.
The other pacemakers in an interesting start are Bill Quay, Boldon, Castle Eden and Ryhope with just 11 points separating them all.
The top dogs, Seaham, enjoyed a runaway victory against Peterlee, who are struggling at the foot of the table. They posted 175-4 before demolishing the batting of their visitors who managed a paltry 33.
Shoaib Akhter took seven wickets and James Taylor got the other three with only one of the opposition reaching double figures. Earlier Seaham's opening batsman, Hanson batted throughout the innings for 58.
Three of the other four games all featured drawn finishes with several solid batting displays featured. Higgin hit 81 for Castle Eden against Washington who were set a target of 158 runs to win but had little chance due to the shrtened nature of the game. Lee (32 not out) ensured there were no problems as the innings closed on 61 for three.
Fourth-placed Boldon had to fight a rearguard action against Murton after being set 155 for victory. A half century for Arundel was a feature of the visitors' innings but when Boldon replied they never got to grips with the bowling and only Jones with 24 looked comfortable. Gilbert (3-21) and Robson (2-15) gave them problems and they struggled to reach 63 in losing six wickets.
At Silksworth, Bill Quay came within 23 runs of victory with plenty of wickets in hand but had to settle for a share of the points in another draw. Pringle (59) and Wright (38) gave Silksworth the upper hand when they took first knock but Tudor (37) and Stanworth (32) kept Bill Quay well in the game in their reply.
Ryhope's home match with Dawdon became a victim of the weather and was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
