TEAMS of eight are being sought to take part in a physically demanding charity challenge.
A tractor pull will be held in Northallerton High Street on Sunday, July 8, as part of the town's annual carnival.
Teams will haul a four-tonne tractor from the steps of the town hall up towards Zetland Street.
The challenge will be head to head, with two teams competing at the same time. The overall winners will be awarded the Tractor Pull Challenge Cup, and will have the honour of defending their title at next year's event.
Thirsk and Northallerton Lions have organised the challenge for the second year in a row. Last year's pull raised £1,000, which was distributed to four local charities.
This year, teams will be able to choose which good cause their money is donated to.
Teams who would like to take part should contact club president Peter Cole on 01609-778690, before Friday, June 29.
