A VICAR is looking for customers as he prepares to clean shoes in Thirsk in aid of charity.
The Rev Toddy Hoare is to clean shoes in the town's Market Place to raise funds for Christian Aid.
He will be located near Boots from 9.30am-1pm on Monday, May 14, offering his free service.
Those who have their shoes cleaned can make a donation to collection buckets.
Rev Hoare, of the Hillside Parishes, said: "I've done this for the last 25 years, and I've polished pretty much everything.
"I've done pushchair wheels and Wellington boots, along with builders' boots."
In recent years, he has raised £100. The event ties in with Christian Aid week, which runs from May 13-19.
