A SCHOOL celebrating its 150th anniversary has been praised by Ofsted inspectors.
Baldersby St James Primary School, near Thirsk, which has 43 pupils, was rated good in terms of achievement and standards.
Leadership, management and the children's behaviour and pride in the school were also praised.
The use of trips by the school was seen as a particular strength.
Headteacher Mark Lawn was quick to praise the efforts of the pupils, staff, governors and parents.
He said: "They are a credit to Baldersby St James School and, with their continued hard work, the school will keep on growing from strength to strength."
The school will soon open an extension and is holding 150th anniversary celebrations on Friday, July 13.
The school is keen to hear from former pupils and members of staff to share photographs and memories with.
