A PRIMARY school will hold its main fundraising event of the year tomorrow.
May Madness: Football and Fun will take place on Thornton Watlass School playing fields from noon to 4pm.
The event features an annual football tournament with teams from 11 local primary schools, along with a bouncy slide, tombola, skittles and a raffle.
Prizes include lunch for two at Swinton Castle, near Masham, and a visit to the Wensleydale Cheese Factory, at Hawes.
The school, which has 42 pupils, has had a busy time since the end of last year. A new library and outdoor playing facilities have been opened and last month, the school was inspected by Ofsted and the Church of England.
It was graded as good, with outstanding features.
Wendy Irvine, the chairwoman of the governors, said: "We were especially pleased that the Ofsted inspector commented on the outstanding personal development of our pupils."
