A VILLAGE will hold its May Day celebrations on Sunday.
Aldborough will stage a traditional fete with stalls and games as well as May Pole dancing and displays from North Yorkshire Police and Fire Services and Ripon Classic Cars.
This year's fair will be unique because, instead of having one May Queen the village will have two.
Twins Rosie and Rebecca Wilson, 11, will be crowned by last year's queen, Hannah Hale.
The pair, of Hundayfield Farm, near Marton cum Grafton, have been May Pole dancing since 2000.
Their parents, Nick and Liz, took part in the May Day celebrations many years ago.
Mr Wilson said: "I'm absolutely delighted that the girls have been chosen to become this year's May Queens.
"It's a real honour for them to have followed on a family tradition."
This year's May Day will raise funds for the Emma Maltby Memorial Fund, which provides The Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at St James's University Hospital, in Leeds, with a learning mentor to help meet the educational needs of patients while they undergo treatment for cancer.
