ONE man's curiosity about the success of Age Concern Teesside set him off on a path of discovery.
Alan Phillips, from Linthorpe in Middlesbrough, completed a sponsored walk, starting at Coulby Newham and finishing in central Middlesbrough, visiting 13 You Be You community sites along the 14-mile route.
You Be You is an organisation that provides housing and support to adults, children and young people in the local community.
The 63-year-old said: "Age Concern Teesside is one charity I admire greatly. If it were not for this charity, many older people in the Teesside area would be isolated and excluded from society.
"It is so important to give older people the opportunity to have a better quality of life, and that is exactly what this charity does."
Mr Phillips donated the £108 that he raised to Age Concern Teesside.
