A REWARD is being offered for information that leads to the conviction of burglars who stole £1,000 worth of stock from a plant nursery.
Greenworld's Plants, at Daisy Hill Nursery, in Shotley Bridge, near Consett, was targeted on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Owner Gary McDermott said it was the 12th break-in the two years he has run the centre.
Now he is offering a reward to catch those responsible.
He said: "It is a fairly new business and we just cannot sustain these losses. If anyone knows anything and can help, I will make it worth their while."
The raiders took a selection of bedding plants, high value perennials and ornamental pots.
Inspector Andrew McConnell, of Consett Police, said: "The problem is they are in isolated areas and difficult to secure."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0845-60-60-365.
