POLICE are appealing for help after a burglary in which a motorbike and three expensive bicycles were stolen.
Between 8.30pm on Friday and 11.30am on Saturday, raiders broke into the garage of a house in Appleton Wiske, near Northallerton, through the tiled roof.
They opened the garage doors and took an Aprilia RSV Mille motorbike, registration NX04 FDZ. The black bike was worth about £7,000.
They also took a Cannondale Prophet 1000 mountain bike, in silver and black.
The bike has Cannondale and Siemens written on it and a single suspension fork at the front.
It is valued at £1,600.
Also taken were a Gary Fisher Cake 2 GS mountain bike in white, valued at £1,300, and a Trek Pilot 5.2 road bike in blue, with a small computer attached to its handlebars, worth £1,700.
Anyone with information about the break-in or the whereabouts of the stolen property, is asked to call PC Karen Barugh, at Thirsk, on 0845-60-60-247.
