A FORMER health worker is promising women a safe ride home with her new business venture.
Jules Lee, from Etherley Dene, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, believes many women feel safe with a female taxi driver, and her one-woman business, Jules Lee Travel, offers just that.
"Some women don't feel comfortable getting into a car with a man, and with me they'll get a woman driver," said Mrs Lee, a former NHS technical instructor.
"Women will be able to go out and have a good time, and not worry about whether they'll be safe getting home.
"I'm quite happy to drive men around too, but it's women I'm really looking to provide for.
"I grew up with taxis, because my dad was a taxi driver, and my car was sitting there doing nothing, so I thought I'd give it a go."
Jules Lee Travel, which operates one seven-seat vehicle, is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Fore more details, call 01388-603797 or 07899-945435.
