In the Foster's Durham Senior League, Burnmoor went top of the table leapfrogging Whitburn with a higher return of points as both teams won again.
Burnmoor had Brett Pelser leading their run chase making an unbeaten 154 out of 225 for the loss of just one wicket and it was too much for Eppleton as the South African professional then grabbed three of their wickets.
Whitburn had Ashley Thorpe (62 and 4 for 16) to thank for a six wicket win over Horden while among the other winners, Michael Walker (4-28) was the top wicket taker for Philadelphia and Johnny Wightman (6-78) was even more successful for Boldon. Philly beat Durham City and Boldon overcame South Hetton.
