CHURCHGOERS took to the streets at the weekend for their annual procession and crowning of a statue of Our Lady.
Members of the Catholic church, in Middlesbrough, went to Sacred Heart Church, in Linthorpe Road, in the town, for the annual rosary procession and service.
The procession is organised every year by the church's Legion of Mary organisation, which spreads the Christian faith and carries out good work for the church.
A May Queen crowned the statue before a service at Scared Heart, on Sunday afternoon, led by Father John Paul Leonard, of St Clare's Church, in Brookfield.
The Legion also organised a procession of the Blessed Sacrament, on the feast of Corpus Christi, on Sunday.
