UNDER 15'S STAY IN TOP FLIGHT Under 15's 3 - 2 Yarm Boys Goalscorers;Swankie, Kelly , Gibbon M.o.m; Gibbon In this relagation clash Allstars took the lead through a inswinging corner by Swankie which beat everyone to cross the line. Yarm replied instantly to make it 1 - 1 and took the lead not long after 2 - 1 H-T.
In the second half a much more determined Allstars, backed by support from across the age groups, started to get their act together and with the introduction of stockport started creating chances, a great corner by Gibbon was headed on the run by an advancing Kelly into the net 2 - 2 . As a draw was no good for Allstars and time was ticking away, Stockport was brought down in the box so m.o.m Gibbon stepped up to take the all important penalty which he cooly put away to make it 3 - 2 . In a league game which was more like a cup final every squad memberplayed there part to the final whistle.
THE UNDER 16'S SAY GOODBYE TO JUNIOR FOOTBALL WITH A WIN.
Under 16'S 2 - 0 Tibbs Goalscorers; Donald, Farlow M.o.m;Wayne Hall This was a fitting end to a junior football campaign. Both sides played well in blustery conditions with the Allstars edging the game in both halfs. 1 - 0 up at half time with a well taken goal by Donald, second half saw the Allstars stay on top and Farlow bag the second. Wayne Hall was outstanding throughout in midfield to receive m.o.m.
Under 11's 3 - 1 Nunthorpe Goalscorers; Ward, Upton, Fluen M.o.m;Luke Kershaw.
Allstars u11s A sponsored by Rowells gents hairdressers played their final game of the season against Nunthorpe at home.Allstars started kicking against a strong wind and not suprisingly were put under pressure by the visitors,who midway through the half took the lead.This seemed to spur Allstars on and they were soon level with a superb effort from Josh Ward.Allstars were now in top gear and were causing the Nunthorpe defence all kinds of problems and a great first time pass from Niall Hanratty found George Upton who neatley knocked it passed the keeper to make the half time score 2.1.The second half started much the same with Allstars keeping up the pressure,and could easily have added one or two more as the half went on.On 45 minutes right back Zach Fluen made his way into the Nunthorpe box and as he rounded his man was taken clean out,the ref had no option and pointed straight to the spot.Up stepped Fluen who coolly slotted the ball away to make it 3.1.Nunthorpe pressed forward but the Allstars defence held on with some well organised and determined defending.Final score 3.1.M.O.M went to Luke Kershaw for some first class midfeild work.
Under 15colts 2 - 5 Catterick Goalscorers; Richins , Nevison M.o.m; Sam Hird This game was second against third played in blustery conditions everything was even until half time. Second half against the wind Allstars suffered a little against the leagues top goal scorer, the result couldn't change the league positions and the game was played in good spirits, the Allstars finish in third place their best ever finish.
Under 13's 4 - 2 Spraire Lads Goalscorers;Sweet 2 , Hedley , Toppin M.o.m; Wheldon A fantastic result against local rivals mean't that Allstars jumped up 2 places and finish the season in third place on goal differance .The game was played in windy conditions but that didn't stop some good goals going in from Sweet who hit the back of the net on two occasions , Hedley and Toppin hitting the target aswell . A fantastic last part of the season and great credit to all the players to finish third . Danny Whelan gets m.o.m for a great performance at the back.
