THE public is being given a chance to support the Spring Clean Hartlepool campaign by taking part in a litter-pick.
The Fens Residents' Association has joined forces with Hartlepool Borough Council's countryside wardens and their team of volunteers to organise a clean-up of the grassy banks off Catcote Road, at South Fens.
The event will take place tomorrow, from 10am to noon, and organisers hope that local people will turn out in force.
The banks are close to Greatham Beck, one of the town's six local nature reserves, and popular with people enjoying a walk.
Anyone wishing to take part in the litter-pick should meet at the banks, off Catcote Road.
Some litter-picking equipment will be provided.
Further information is available from the countryside wardens on 01429-853325.
