A FUNDRAISING concert is to feature an acclaimed cellist and a well-known choir from the region.
The Dalesmen Singers annual gala night takes place on Saturday, October 17 in Danby Methodist Chapel on the North York Moors.
Their special guest for the evening is cellist David Taylor from Scarborough, accompanied by Frank James. David is a keen advocate of music education and has taken part in music projects across the world.
He regularly performs concertos throughout the UK and has also performed at the Royal Television Awards with Myleene Klass.
In addition to entertainment by the choir and David Taylor, there will be a supper and raffle in Danby Village Hall.
Money raised will be donated to the Marie Curie North Yorkshire nursing service.
Tickets are now on sale at £8 and are available from Colin Grout 01287-660700 or any choir member. The evening begins at 7.30pm.
