WARNING signs at a beauty spot where a teenager trapped his leg are sufficiently clear, those in charge of the land said yesterday.
Ethan Bradley was cut free by fire crews after his leg got stuck in a crack at Brimham Rocks, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The pupil from Breckenbrough School, near Thirsk, was on a field trip to the site when he became stuck on Monday.
Unable to free his trapped right leg, the youngster was stranded on a ledge 12ft up on a rock, known as The Oven.
Firefighters needed several hours using specialist cutting equipment to free the 13-year-old.
But the National Trust, which owns the land, said yesterday it feels current warning signs are sufficient and does not plan further safety measures.
A trust spokeswoman said there would be a full risk assessment held into the incident.
She added: "We don't encourage people to climb on the rocks but we can't make them come down.
"There are signs in place warning people and encouraging them not to climb on the rocks.
"There are very big signs in the car park stating climbing the rocks needs skill and specialist equipment.
"The site is regularly checked by wardens and there are regular audits held on the health and safety angle.
"In the past 21 years, we have had people fall from the rocks but we've never had anyone get stuck.
"It is highly unlikely this will happen again and no extra safety signage is going to be put up."
Brimham Rocks was formed more than 150,000 years ago and is a popular tourist site, and many visitors climb the rocks.
North Yorkshire Fire Service and Great North Air Ambulance were called to help free the youth this week.
Fire station chief Carl Boasman said: "The site is quite a distance from the road and getting the equipment there caused us some problems.
"But unfortunately, accidents do happen and we would urge people to be careful when doing these activities."
Air ambulance paramedic Jane Peacock said: "It was just kids being kids, but luckily it had a happy ending.
"How many people climb trees and how many of them fall out of them?
"You can't wrap kids in cotton wool.
