A FARM shop has started stocking beers produced at a nearby microbrewery.
A selection of bottled ales brewed at Beamish Hall Hotel is now on sale at Knitsley Farm Shop, near Consett, which has been named as the UK’s Farm Shop of the Year for the past two years.
Eight high quality real ales are currently produced on-site by master brewer John Taylor and served at the hotel’s popular Stables bar and restaurant.
Chris Comerford, general manager at Beamish Hall, said: “We are delighted that Knitsley Farm Shop has decided to stock our bottled ales.
“The fact that the microbrewery keeps on going from strength to strength is testament to John’s unwavering dedication to producing the very finest ales.
“Knitsley Farm supplies us with a wonderful selection of top quality local produce, so it is fantastic that we can return the favour and supply them with a product that we here at Beamish Hall are just as proud of.”
