A SCHOOL has submitted plans for a new classroom block.
Sedgefield Community College, in Hawthorn Road, is applying for planning permission for a new building to house ten additional classrooms and a multi-use/dining area.
The two-story block will be surrounded by hard play areas and landscaping.
It will replace three portable buildings, which were introduced as a temporary measure when the school was rebuilt in 2011 as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme.
The public has until Wednesday, June 3 to comment on the application at durham.gov.uk
