DURHAM County Council has confirmed that residents in Bishop Auckland who have not received a polling card can still vote.
Complaints have been raised that homes along Etherley Lane, Lambton Drive and Escomb Road, in the town, had not been sent polling cards.
The affected residents have been written to by the county council to inform them that they do not need a polling a card to vote.
In order to cast a ballot voters can turn up at the polling station and give their name and address. Further details can be obtained via 03000-261212.
