SERVING soldiers will give a first-hand account of life on the frontline in Afghanistan at a talk this weekend.
Members of 3rd Battalion, The Rifles will talks about the reality behind the headlines when they visit the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery on Saturday (14 March).
The talk, which starts at 2pm, is part of the museum’s monthly Military Talks programme and has been arranged in partnership with the Rifles Collection, which is based in Winchester and charts the history of the regiment.
Tickets for the talk are £3.50 and can be pre-booked on 03000 266 590.
Normal museum admission charges of £4 for adults, £3 for concessions and £2 for children also apply.
