A MAN and a woman have been charged after allegedly being pepper-sprayed for refusing to stop having sex in pub toilets.
The incident took place at the Stanley Jefferson pub, in Bishop Auckland, on Wednesday, January 28.
The woman, aged 23, and a 30-year-old man, both of Bishop Auckland, have been charged with a section four public order offence and resisting police arrest.
The woman has also been charged with assaulting a police officer and criminal damage.
They have been bailed and will appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court, later this month.
