STUDENTS were encouraged to let their creativity run wild when a Yorkshire-based artist paid them a visit.
Paul Slater, who goes by the name of Fabric Lenny, held a workshop for art students at Hummersknott Academy, in Darlington.
With help from the artist, pupils created large scale monochrome murals based around a series of collaborative drawings from their imagination.
Any negative space was then filled with eclectic, lively images, similar to the work of Fabric Lenny.
The artist, who is based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, creates a wide range of pieces ranging from sculpture and digital work, to public art projects and collaborative schemes with young children.
Helen Mason, subject leader for art and design said: “We have been thrilled with the work the students have produced in collaboration with Fabric Lenny and they have really thrown themselves into the project.
“The work is so unique and eye-catching and we are very excited at the prospect of the work going on display on the walls in the department.”
